10 Year Note Jumps Above 2.4 Percent
The 10 Year U.S. Treasury Note finally made it above 2.4 and has moved a decent amount over 2.4 percent to 2.488 as of 11:13 AM today. It will be interesting to see if the note stays above 2.4 percent and the the old ceiling at 2.4 now becomes a floor. Interest rates will need to be followed over the next coming weeks to see if this is a new trend that has just started.
A few days ago it looked as if the note may not breakthrough 2.4 percent, however, it now has.
The 10 Year Note plays an important part in the pricing of other interest bearing instruments like mortgages.
